The Passion For Creation

Carving out time for something we enjoy, which gives us happiness is becoming a farce. We are all busy riding the roller coaster of life, giving ourselves the false hope that one day I would make enough to sit back and enjoy life and do what I like. What we forget as we climb the ladder of success is that our aims and goals too climb higher with us and the whole purpose of why we had started is lost. Why not live in the moment and enjoy what we have now?

This Pandemic has been overwhelming. But on the brighter side it has given us the magic of time. Time that we have been craving, time to think, time to explore various opportunities, time to prioritise, time with family, time for our health and well-being. Banking on this gift of time lets us explore things that tap into our creative side, helping us to bond with ourselves.

To me cooking and painting are synonyms. They are both forms of art, a way of expression. They give me a sense of liberation and have the power to pull our minds away from mundane things. Yes, it can be very therapeutic and meditative. Flavours are to cooking as colours are to painting. We can create magic in the kitchen or on a canvas using one or many of them. There is no right or wrong. Freedom of creativity is the only mantra these art forms follow. Whether we take a reference or create something of our own, it may be appreciated it may be not, but the end product will always be unique to us. The penetrative aromas, the tones of the colours can be a real escape from the hard hitting reality we face at times.

Whatever the circumstances may be, having a passion, a hobby can always keep the spirits high. The message I would like to thrust is; have a hobby, follow your passion. You could be dead for the world but these will keep you alive for the self, forever and unconditionally.
