2020: Pls Exit - Spotify Playlists For The End Of The Year

Helloooo readers, as we near the end 2020 (the year we all can’t wait to end) we want to show our gratitude towards you and how much you have helped us grow in these past months. You’re Doing Great (?) is a passion project for the both of us and we love sharing with you.

Read More: Smell & Memory

To shower you all with love, here are some playlists that have helped us through the end of the year. It’s been a lot being away from loved ones, doing the things we love and living as we please. Here are some playlists to both let out the angst that 2020 has built within us and to look towards the golden light, that is smarter decisions for a better 2021.

Monster

Monster is the word I best associate with the coronavirus. Not only was it horrible to so many people across the world but it also seemed to unleash the monster within people. As many wonderful, powerful and amazing warriors have come from this time there are always twice as many people who won’t follow the rules, wear masks or act towards the betterment of people as a whole. Sitting in my house for the 8th month counting, I think this word and the sounds associated with it are mild in reference to the situation.

Get Funky

There are a number of days I just want to have fun, hit up the clubs like old times, have all my friends over with some music and close out the night with the people I love. This playlist helps distill some of those wonderful funky end-of-the-night feels and hopefully gives you a lil’ funky groove.

90s Dream Vibes

Raise your hand if you were born in the 90’s. The vibes were just different back then. Personally, I love that 90s fashion is coming back and I hope some of the purity of thought comes back too (while keeping the increased awareness). This 90s dream vibes playlist will take you to a place you will remember and hopefully bring some tranquility to these cold and crazy days.

Peachy

While many of us set goals at the start of lockdown and had a head start on them, many of us faltered in the middle. Now is your chance to finish the year strong. Get Peachhhhhhhhhhyyyyyy. Get grooving, find a friend. Honestly DM one of us. We want to get peachy with you.

Building Spring

Yes, I know spring is far. But, is it wrong for me to call this cold air with the perfectly warm sun a sign of spring? Spring is the time for new things to bloom, change to come through and for hope to spring eternal. For the weirdest reason the weather today and this low-key spooky playlist just gives me hope for what is coming next.

If you are a freshman this year, please leave a comment below or DM us. We would love to hear some of your semester one experiences and hope some of these playlists help you get through what’s to come.
